Discover first-hand the challenges and opportunities of economic development in Africa! Arcubus offers a limited number of City workers the chance to take a short course in Microfinance (mostly online) and then spend two weeks working with Jamii Bara microfinance institution in Kenya. You might be interviewing borrowers to produce peer-training videos, offering advice on marketing, book-keeping or product diversification, or advising on longer-term business plans. Whether you are interested in skills transfer and building human capital, gaining future market intelligence or insight into how microfinance works from the perspectives of clients themselves, you will learn as well as teach in this unique experience.
