Arcubus funds 200 new loans and microfinance training courses in Tanzania 

We are delighted to announce that Arcubus has made its first grant, to the Mama Bahati Foundation via Five Talents UK. Our grant of £25,000 (including £10,000 from the London Chamber of Commerce and Industry Commerical Education Trust) will fund up to 200 new business training courses and 200 new loans to women in the rural district of Iringa. See pictures of some of Mama Bahati's existing clients here.

The new loans and training courses funded by this first grant will give women like these the chance to diversify and stabilise the insecure they earn from agricuture. Shida, one of the clients I met on my recent visit to MBF, told me that the loans and training courses she benefitted from enabled her to send all of her children to school. These are real returns on your investments and donations; thank you!

We have also agreed to award £35,000 to our partner in Mozambique, Opportunity International; more soon.
